Big Picture Book of Environments

John Long

Our Earth is a remarkable place. We need to celebrate its diverse and complex beauty, and save it for future generations.
With stunning images and a child-friendly text based on the latest scientific research, The Big Picture Book of Environments explores the effects of changing climate on environments around the world, including the great rivers, deserts, Arctic regions, cities, abyssal depths and forests

An Elegy for Easterly

Petina Gappah

Petina Gappah is the voice of Zimbabwe. In this astonishingly powerful debut collection, she dissects with real poignancy the lives of people caught up in a situation over which they have no control, as they deal with spiralling inflation, power cuts and financial hardship - a way of life under Mugabe's regime - and cope with issues common to all people everywhere; failed promises, disappointments and unfulfilled dreams. Compelling, unflinching and tender, An Elegy for Easterly is a defining book, and a stunning portrait of a country in chaotic meltdown.

Big Fat Duck Cookbook

Heston Blumenthal

In this enormous, beautiful book, we hear the full story of the meteoric rise of Heston Blumenthal and The Fat Duck, birthplace of snail porridge and bacon-and-egg ice cream, and encounter the passion, perfection and weird science behind the man and the restaurant.

Heston Blumenthal is widely acknowledged to be a genius, and The Fat Duck has twice been voted the Best Restaurant in the World by a peer group of top chefs. is not only the nearest thing to an autobiography from the world's most fascinating chef, but also a stunning, colourful and joyous work of art.
