Hard copy submissions
will not be accepted for consideration - any hard copy received will be recycled without assessment.
Please note: Allen & Unwin UK and Murdoch Books UK cannot accept any unsolicited
manuscripts, in either electronic or printed form. No material will be
returned.

Books for Children and Teenagers
Allen & Unwin has decided to extend our innovative and pioneering
Friday Pitch service to emerging writers for children and young adults. From
February 1st 2012,
we will accept submissions of children’s fiction, novels and graphic
novels for teenagers and narrative non-fiction following our Friday
Pitch guidelines (see
The Friday Pitch). Please note we will
not accept submissions of picture book texts, poetry or short stories.

New Zealand Non-fiction Publishing
Allen & Unwin New Zealand currently accepts unsolicited non-fiction manuscripts. We have an extremely broad-ranging list, and are interested in covering topics that are exclusively New Zealand focused through to subjects of interest worldwide. At present we are not considering illustrated non-fiction, adult fiction or children’s manuscripts.
