There is no physical law to prevent time travel - nothing in physics to say that it is not possible. So surely the invention of a time machine is just a matter of ... time?
Brian Clegg was born in Lancashire. He read Natural Sciences at Cambridge University and has an MA in Operational Research (a discipline developed during the Second World War to apply mathematics and probability to warfare) at Lancaster University.
