More about this book

From the creator of the best-selling At the Beach and In the Bush, comes a brilliant new holiday book set in the fascinating landscape of the urban jungle. Roland Harvey's witty, slapstick style and amazingly detailed illustrations will have children poring over every page for hours.

The city is full of surprises!

We explored the underground sewers during a downpour, climbed inside the giantest scientist, smelt something stinky at the market and snuck up on the biggest barracuda in the aquarium . . .

We had the BEST time in the city and you will too!

A brilliant companion to At the Beach and In the Bush.

Commended, CBCA Book of the Year, Picture Book, 2008

Roland Harvey is one of Australia's best-loved illustrators. In 1978, he established Roland Harvey Studios and began designing and producing greeting cards, posters and stationery with a distinctly Australian flavour. Ventures into publishing quickly followed. Some of his best-loved books include My Place in Space (with Joe Levine), Burke and Wills, The First Fleet, Sick As (with Gael Jennings) and The New Roland Harvey Christmas book. His recent books include the best-selling At the Beach and In the Bush and his brilliant illustrations are also a feature of It's True! Burke + Wills Forgot the Frying Pan by David Greagg and the Bonnie + Sam series - The Horses and Ponies of Currawong Creek, in collaboration with Alison Lester.
