Stephen Orr was a runner-up in the 2000 The Australian/Vogel Literary Award for his first novel, Attempts to Draw Jesus. He is a regular contributor to The Advertiser and The Adelaide Review and has also contributed essays to various journals including ABC Online, New Matilda and The Australian Education Union Journal. Stephen
is a current member and past board member of the SA Writer's Centre and
lives in Adelaide with his wife and two sons. His first work of
non-fiction, The Cruel City, was published in April 2011.
