About the editors
John Germov is Deputy Head of the Faculty of Education and Arts, Professor of Sociology, and Head of the School of Humanities and Social Science at the University of Newcastle. He has published fifteen books, including Get Great Marks for Your Essays, Reports, and Presentations, Second Opinion: An Introduction to Health Sociology, and A Sociology of Food and Nutrition: The Social Appetite.
Marilyn Poole is an Associate Professor in Sociology in the School of History, Heritage and Society at Deakin University. In addition to this book, she is co-editor of Sociology: Australian connections and A Certain Age: Women Growing Older , and editor of Family: Changing families, changing times.
