This website provides information about a national longitudinal survey of households in Australia funded by the Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. The project began in 2001 with a survey of over 7000 households comprising approximately 13 000 individuals. Data are collected from the same sample of respondents on an annual basis, enabling detailed examination of changes in individual and household circumstances over time. The survey focuses on the subjective and economic wellbeing of Australians by examining a range of issues relating to labour market involvement, family relationships, wealth, attitudes to various social issues, and wellbeing.
