Madeleine Thien is a Canadian short story writer and novelist whose most recent book, Do Not Say We Have Nothing was shortlisted for the 2016 Man Booker Prize for Literature. Hear from Thien as she explores the epic and resonant novel about the far-reaching effects of China's revolutionary history, told through the stories of two interlinked musical families, from the 1940s to the present day.

Presented in association with the Canberra Writers Festival and the Canadian High Commission.
