Christos Tsiolkas On Tour: Damascus

 

Damascus is the next incredible novel from Christos Tsiolkas, author of The Slap, which won the Overall Best Book in the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize in 2009, alongside an array of literary honours—including being shortlisted for the Miles Franklin and the Australian Literary Society Gold Medal.

In Damascus, Tsiolkas has written a masterpiece: a historical novel of immense power and an unflinching dissection of doubt and faith, tyranny and revolution, and cruelty and sacrifice, exploring the birth and establishment of the Christian church.
