Congratulations to Paul Auster who has been named in the six-book shortlist for this year's Man Booker Prize for Fiction for his provocative and heartbreaking novel 4 3 2 1!
The Man Booker Prize is the leading literary award in the English speaking world, and has brought recognition, reward and readership to outstanding fiction for over four decades. Each year, the prize is awarded to what is, in the opinion of the judges, the best novel of the year written in English and published in the UK. It is a prize that transforms the winner’s career.
The shortlisted authors each receive £2,500 and a specially bound edition of their book. The 2017 winner will be announced in London on Tuesday 17 October.
