Family Life by Akhil Sharma wins the Folio Prize 2015

akhilsharmaWe are absolutely delighted to announce that Akhil Sharma has been awarded the Folio Prize 2015 for his blackly funny, heartbreaking novel Family Life. Family Life took Sharma some 13 years to write. Sharma's first novel, An Obedient Father, won the 2001 Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award.

The Folio Prize 2015, worth £40,000, aims to recognise and celebrate the best English-language fiction from around the world, published in the UK during a given year, regardless of form, genre or the author's country of origin.
